FAQ

Almost all nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status are eligible to receive volunteer grant funding! Many of the same companies that offer matching gift programs also offer volunteer grant programs, and the eligibility requirements are similar.
Volunteer grant programs, also commonly referred to as Dollars for Doers, volunteer matches, or time match programs, are workplace giving programs in which companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees regularly volunteer. This is typically done by offering a set dollar amount that’s dependent on the number of hours a team member spends volunteering.
Once this integration is activated, volunteer signups from Virtuous Volunteer sync to Double the Donation's volunteer module.

Double the Donation will immediately identify grant-eligible volunteers associated with corporate email addresses and sends an automated follow-up message with company-specific next steps to grant-eligible volunteers.

When a volunteer's employer is unknown, Double the Donation automates the follow-up processing, inviting them to enter their company name and view eligibility for volunteer grant programs.
Get set up in just a few minutes! You'll need access to your Virtuous Volunteer account and Double the Donation Volunteering. Then, follow this guide!

Testimonials

We have found the volunteer module to be a game changer. With the ability to see who offers volunteer PTO, we were able to connect with a company and set up a volunteering event, making the tool immediately drive value of our organization.

At Virtuous, we believe generosity isn’t just a transaction; it’s a relationship. To truly honor our supporters, we have to see the whole person, not just a checkbook. By integrating Double the Donation Volunteering and Virtuous Volunteer, we’re breaking down the silos between giving time and giving resources. This allows nonprofits to listen to their supporters’ signals and respond by maximizing their impact, ensuring that every hour of service can also unlock vital financial fuel for the mission.
